Divorce—a difficult subject.

Posted on 11/26/2019 by Greg Yoder

There are a lot of families dealing with divorce these days. But the good news is it isn’t as bad as everybody thought. Many said the divorce rate among Christians was just as bad as those who have no religious affiliation. But, it turns out that’s not true. According to Christianity Today, evangelicals are “35% less likely to divorce”1. While that’s good news, that may not be what you’re experiencing. Maybe you find yourself in a situation where you don’t want a divorce. How do you help your kids process this? First, be honest with them. You both need to talk to your kids. Also, commit to not talking badly about your spouse. Don’t make them pick sides. Assure them you’ll always be their parents, and pray God’s protection.
