In strong families, it’s all for one and one for all.

Posted on 6/13/2016 by Greg Yoder

One of the nine characteristics researchers say make for strong families is family loyalty. That’s where family members view themselves as being a part of the family “team,” and they are willing to make personal sacrifices to help their team “win.” The ultimate way to develop family loyalty is working together on common goals, like sharing the Gospel with neighbors, preparing and delivering meals to shut-ins, or tutoring disadvantaged kids. How about a backpacking trip, or a missions trip, or whatever? Your kids might not like it at first, but, as your family accomplishes worthy goals together, they’ll see the wisdom of Jesus’ words, “It’s more blessed to give than receive” (Acts 20:35).
