Monica Richter wages a campaign of intimidation on John Morrison! But Monica isn't the only bully in town... It seems the bullying bug has bitten Hope too (and Coleraine elementary's kindergarten class may never be the same)! It's all about power and responsibility.
How about you
Do you have influence over other people? Do younger kids or even kids your own age listen to what you have to say?

The Bible has a lot of great advice about how to handle power responsibly. There are especially a lot of great verses on the subject in the Old Testament book of Proverbs. Here's one example from the 16th chapter:
Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
That word "warrior" could also refer to a person of power. Power is really just influence. So you don't necessarily need to be physically strong, or have ninja-like reflexes to be a person of power. You could just have a way with words, or a personality that makes people want to follow you. But if you are this kind of person, you need to be very careful that you also have patience and self control like this Proverb points out. In fact, if it has to be a choice between the two, God is telling us it would be better to be a patient person than a powerful person. With His help, it is possible to patient AND powerful: that's what we call "responsibility"!
