We received this message from Judi and Steve a few days ago. "We are a Christian family living near Windsor, England and have been using the online daily devotional with our younger two children for some time," the family writes.
"The opportunity arose to ask Samuel (who is aged 10) if he had trusted the Lord and he was clear in his answer about being saved. With some further questions it came to light that a Keys for Kids devotional last year had been the 'last link in the chain'. (He thinks it was May 1, 2015 and says it was a very serious one that include the direct question 'are you saved?). He went to bed and asked the Lord to forgive him and is clear it is through the Savior's work on the cross that he is forgiven."
Technology is having an impact on the lives of young people. Today, Pokemon Go is the biggest craze. Millions are playing it. Keys for Kids Ministries (formerly Children's Bible Hour) wants to use similar technology in ministry. In order to do that, we need to redesign our mobile app which will provide the platform for games, multi-media communication and technology that hasn't even been created yet.
We're gearing up to do just that, but we need your help.
A few generous friends are excited about this. So much so that they're providing $20,000 as an incentive to encourage you to help, too. Each donation you provide, they'll match it dollar-for-dollar up to $20,000. If you give $25, they'll match your $25 and make it $50. If you give $100, it becomes $200. Your $1,000 gift becomes $2,000. If you help us reach this match, it would mean $40,000 for a project that will become that platform for this ministry's future.
You know technology is important to young people. It can be used for evil, but it can also be used for God's good. Keys for Kids wants to claim it for good, making our mobile app a place kids don't just need to visit, but want to visit regularly. It will also become the platform to distribute Keys for Kids in other languages like Arabic, Spanish and Mandarin (Chinese).
We're excited about our future. I hope you are, too. If you'd like to support Keys for Kids with your best gift and have your investment doubled by these generous donors, go to http://www.keysforkids.org/grant. Or, call our office at 1-888-224-2324.
